I discovered this brand while I was browsing Instagram. From what I noticed they are not that well known. Thought I'd try them out because they had such a pretty variety of colors. But, more about the brand. They are Cruelty-Free US made eye shadows featuring a very shimmery selection but it doesn't stop there. These eye shadows are intensely pigmented and oh so creamy. When you put them on they sort of melt into your skin. They have such a wonderful velvety texture. Never Crease and I believe they have staying power without using a primer. I swatched them and they haven't rubbed off yet though it may be different if you are prone to oil. Lets talk packaging, they arrive in a big box and are individually wrapped in bubble-wrap, as well as a second box taped and filled with foam to ensure they get to you in the best shape possible. Each eyeshadow comes in a tiny box sealed with the ingredients prints on the back of each. To top all of that they include a tips and tricks sheet to ensure you the best way to pack on the color and on the reverse side a written note thanking you for your purchase. (If any of your eye shadows are messed up during shipment they will gladly take back any as long as you have the proof of purchase and isn't tampered with beforehand and is in original packaging. If you do have problems with the colors or selection they are unfortunately not able to re-reimburse you as they are just starting up.)
Review Time Variety- There are matte/shimmer/satin finishes and shades Inexpensive- This pallete is about $25 dollars THERE'S A SALE EVERY WEEK! Pigmented- The color payoff is very noticeable Organized- There are three trays with an easy to manage case. Hot Pots- With this palette you can decide which colors you love and then buy those colors individually using the 252 Ultimate Palette, Hot Pot Reference Guide.I think that's what I loved about Coastal scents the most. That they have palettes you can customize. They offer many sizes to choose from whether you want a 28 count ,12 count, 4 count or single pots. These palettes are a lot larger than the pots the 252 Ultimate Palette offers. Each one is magnetized so that if you get tired of the collection you started with you can switch it up anyway you like. I thought that was genius. But, sadly there are some things I didn't like about this palette.. Chalky- Some of the colors lack pigmentation and payoff. There were a few chalky. Fallout- There were also a few of the shades that were prone to fallout meaning didn't have that much staying power while others stained your skin if worn too long. Smaller pots- Most palettes today have smaller pods than most and this palette was surprisingly sparse with product but the variety there is what makes this palette so accommodating. Ease of use- I think it would be better if all the trays were organized by texture, like matte shades, shimmery, and satin were all separated. I understand they were going by colors but I think it would suit the artist more if they were in an orderly fashion. Overall I give this product a Also would recommend this product to people that are looking for a starter palette for sure.
I look forward to what other wonderful things Coastal Scents brings to the table. |
